I know I need a small vacation,

I thought of these words from Wichita Lineman as I walked 6.1 km up the fire trail back to my car. It\u2019s a long steady 200m climb. The sun was shining, as it had for all four days of my walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had breakfast overlooking the beach at Oberon Bay, looking out to Norman Island on the horizon. Life\u2019s good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a 3.4 km walk back to the Telegraph Saddle junction. The morning air was clear and I saw a few wallabies nonchalantly grazing on the sweet grass growing by the track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
