to watch the sun go down on Echo Beach.<\/em><\/p>\nMartha and the Muffins.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

There is a jetty at Echo Point that, on a sunny day, is the perfect place to start the day. I had my breakfast on the jetty with my friends (porridge and hot chocolate) and expressed my gratitude to the bushwalking gods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The track follows near, but not on, the shoreline. There are limited views of the water, but most of the time it is the forest that provides the interest. I found it a very pleasant walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I stopped for morning tea at a spot on the shore close to the track. Not a cloud in the sky!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I met my friends on the track and we finished the walk together. The track leaves the forest as it approaches its termination at the Lake St Clair visitors centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visitors center has good food and drink, and I enjoyed lunch with my friends while doing our best to ignore the numerous brightly coloured wasps that were attracted to our drinks. Fortunately, they are not agressive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
