I became a bushwalker relatively late in life.
I spent my youth getting educated and playing sport. I spent my adult life raising my family and pursuing my career as a town planner. Is there such a thing as a post-adult life? I think that’s where I am now, where I can forget about trying to act like an adult.
For the past decade I have developed a love of walking. Australia has many fantastic areas to walk in, but I have also enjoyed walking overseas. I don’t need a track and quite happily bash through the scrub. I don’t need company, but don’t shun it either.
