Vintage and classic,
Jethro Tull.
or just plain jurassic…
How strange. To be sleeping in the same room as my brothers and sister. Takes me back to childhood… more snoring these days, though.
After breakfast, we hit the track again. The sky was clear and, although it was windy, it was good conditions for walking.

The first part of the walk climbs up and over Arthurs Peak. It’s a steep climb and we took it easy. At the top we had a break.

After all that climbing, it was good to be going downhill for awhile. The tractor sounds quite steeply and their reviews back to Arthurs Peak.

My eldest brother, Philip, was supporting some vintage gear. Here he is modelling his Jurassic Pack next to a sign that says Jurassic Crack.

The track continues southwards, close to the shoreline. There are many places to stop and enjoy the views, and we took advantage of quite a few of them.

The track then travels eastwoods until it meets the Old Cape Pillar track. Here we turned right and, shortly afterwards, stopped in a nondescript part of the track for lunch. Of course, 100 m further along the track we passed a much nicer place to stop for lunch.
After lunch, it was a one hour walk to Munro hut, where we would be staying for the night.

The next morning, the sky slowly lightened, and people gathered at the helipad to enjoy the views.

This guy turned orange over Munro bite as the sun rose.
